Everything starts with a moment. A point in your life when you either change, or continue living in ignorance, blind to the events happening all around you, every day. For us, this moment smacked us square in the face during a private occupational therapy session in 2014.

For our then 2 year old son.

From a very early age, he'd displayed behaviors that didn't sit in the category of 'Normal' for someone of his age. He wasn't following the same path as the other children in our circles and key markers were being missed.

A diagnosis of sensory processing disorder (SPD) was given, with all signs leading towards an eventual Autism diagnosis 2 years later. Since then, we have been learning to embrace a very different kind of 'Normal', adapting to the wonderful world of neurodiversity and all it has to offer.

We've lost friends. We've made new ones.

The Unconventionall brand started as a vision. A desire to help people embrace who they really are, unlocking potential that too often stays buried under a pile of judgement and pressure to conform. Today, that vision remains the same as we look to encourage even more weird and wonderful people to break free from the shackles of society and believe in the brilliance within.
